La famiglia Lopez dagli USA in tour in Toscana per assaporare e vivere la bellezza del campagna della Val d' Orcia, in particolare il borgo rinascimentale di Pienza; una meraviglia di cartolina che si dispiega tra panorami da mozzafiato e dolci colline. Considerata la città ideale del Rinascimento, viene fondata per volere di Papa Pio II, che in questa zona nacque da genitori membri di una nobile famiglia senese.
Riconosciuta come sito Unesco nel 1996, è una meravigliosa testimonianza dei canoni urbanistici del Rinascimento: l'organizzazione razionale dei suoi spazi e le impareggiabili prospettive di piazze e palazzi cinquecenteschi conquistano lo sguardo di chi la visita. Risultato di un sogno di bellezza pura, Pienza resta un piccolo gioiello di cui innamorarsi al primo sguardo.
Poi ci siamo spostati a sud, pochi chilometri sotto Pienza e abbiamo visitato la stradina con cipressi, immersa nei campi di grano della valdorcia, che conduce all'agriturismo Terrapille, posto reso famoso grazie alla celebre scena del film premio oscar di Ridley Scott "il Gladiatore", in cui Massimo Decimo Meridio ( l'attore Russell Crowe ) cammina in mezzo ai Campi Elisi. Then we moved to the south, a few kilometers under Pienza and visited the road with cypresses, immersed in the Valdorcia wheat fields, which leads to the Terrapille farmhouse, a place made famous thanks to the famous scene of the Oscar -winning film by Ridley Scott "the Gladiator ", in which Massimo Decimo Meridio (the actor Russell Crowe) walks in the middle of the Elisi fields.
